About Casey

Casey was born into a motorsports family; a lineage forged by over 60 years in the business of building high performance rear-ends for off-road and NASCAR style racing.

Growing up in Anaheim Hills, California he has been drawn to anything with a motor. By age 5, he was racing motorcycles and by the age of 16 he jumped behind the wheel of his first race truck. Currie’s off-road resume is lined with wins. From motorcycles and trucks to buggies in the desert – he is no stranger to dirt sports.

Casey’s early career began with wins in the MDR series in his JeepSpeed. He placed 2nd in the Baja 1000 Pro Truck class and 3rd in a Class 1 car in the Baja 500. He then expanded to supermoto racing where he quickly proved himself, winning multiple races and ranking himself 5th overall in the AMA Lites Class and 1st in team points in his rookie year.

At 22, Casey became the youngest team owner in short course racing. He made quick work showcasing just how deserving he was of his unprecedented ownership title with a barrage of wins and record setting accomplishments. During this time Casey earned multiple wins and podium finishes including a short course championship in 2010. He received media recognition with a Masterpiece of Metal feature in Dirt Sports magazine; created an 8-truck team for the Monster Jam events; and made history by finishing the Baja 500 Trophy Truck Class in a straight-axle Jeep.

By bringing everything in-house, Casey expanded his ability to build multiple race vehicles and custom Jeeps for his various racing ventures. He was also able to increase the number of custom Jeep builds for many non-race events he attends. These events include: Trail of Missions, Rubicon, Bantam Historic Jeep Festival, Jeep Beach, SEMA Battle of the Builders and Off-Road Expo.

In 2017, he accomplished wins in three different disciplines of racing. First, winning the opening round of the TORC (The Off-Road Championship) Short Course series in his Pro Lite. He then went on to take the crown of King of Portugal in his Ultra 4 Jeep. Lastly, he culminated the year by winning the Baja 1000 in the Ultra 4 Class in his Trophy Jeep.
In 2018, Currie claimed victories in the Baja 500 and Baja 1000, while taking home the 2018 SCORE (Southern California Off-Road Enthusiasts) Series Championship in the Hammers Unlimited Class. He also started his journey to compete in the toughest off-road race, the Dakar Rally. Casey took his first rally win at the Desafio Inca Rally in 2018.

In 2019, Casey made his Dakar Rally debut, placing 4th in the UTV Class and was awarded Rookie of Dakar. Building off his recent success, Currie won gold in the inaugural Jeep Wrangler X Challenge during his first appearance at the Winter X Games.

He would follow up with wins in the Ultra 4 Class at the Mint 400 and the UTV Class win at the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge. In 2020, Casey went on to become the first American to win the Dakar Rally, taking home the UTV Class title in only his second running of the famous race. Casey looks to further push the boundaries of off-road travel and racing.
